One of the traditional cool blues, Prussian tends toward yellow rather than red - therefore this color is best used to mix greens but not purples. Float this color into a moist wash to add variety to shadows. Prussian Blue is lightfast and transparent, with high staining strength and soft granulation. It disperses and diffuses easily and evenly and can be considered interchangeable with Phthalo Blue in application, although Prussian Blue is slightly greener.
